Registration for fall semester 2024 will open on July 1, 2024 for continuing families. Priority is given to returning students first, then to siblings of returning students. Registration for the general public will open on July 29, 2024.
A late fee of $10 will be assessed on registrations after August 24, 2024. Semester dates can be found here.

Class Descriptions
- Sprout
No experience necessary. This class introduces pre-K students to the 한글 alphabet and basic Korean vocabulary and phrases through songs, stories, and play. The class incorporates fine motor work with art projects and some worksheets. Must be potty trained and 4 years old by September. Maximum 6 students. - Ladybug
For experienced Kindergarteners and beginner 1st graders. Through songs, stories, and play, student will learn the 한글 alphabet and basic Korean vocabulary and phrases. Students will develop their fine motor skills with crafts and some 한글 writing. Maximum 6 students. - Squirrel
For experienced first graders and beginner 2nd graders. Focus is on Korean language conversation, 한글 alphabet reading and writing. A typical class consists of review, new phrase work, vocabulary, 한글 reading and writing drills, stories, songs, and cultural topics. Teaching methods include call-and-answer drills, repetition, songs and creative projects. Maximum 6 students. - Rabbit
For experienced 2nd and 3rd graders. Students will improve Korean literacy, developing broader vocabulary and improving their reading and writing. Maximum 6 students. - Sheep
For experienced 4th and 5th graders. Building on what they learned last year, students deepen their ability to read and write 한글, and continue to develop listening comprehension and speaking skills. Maximum 6 students. - Seal
For beginner 4th – 8th graders. The objective is to teach the 한글 alphabet and basic phrases so that students can join an age-appropriate class after one semester. This class is a fast paced learning environment and students are required to do much homework including reading. Maximum 6 students. - Tiger
For experienced 5th and 6th graders. This class focuses on conversation and 한글 reading and writing for older elementary students with intermediate-level experience in Korean. Classes are more in-depth and accelerated, with coverage of more vocabulary, more complex sentence structures and variations of phrases. Maximum 8 students. - Middle School 2
For continuing 6th-8th grade students with knowledge of 한글 and have some ability in reading and writing in Korean. Classes will emphasize broadening vocabulary, reading, writing and conversation skills. Maximum 8 students. - High School 2 / Adult 2
This class is for adults who are able to read and write basic 한글 and have some Korean language experience. Students will continue to develop their conversational abilities and improve their reading and writing along with learning grammar. Maximum 8 students. - High School 3
For intermediate and advanced level teens with minimum 1 year and more of Korean language experience. Focus is on deepening Korean literacy by increasing facility with 한글 conversation, reading and writing. Students will be accessed via TOPIK Test prep work on regular basis. Classes drawing from K-pop, K-dramas, and current events to explore Korean culture. Maximum 8 students - Adult 3
Adult students who have achieved a certain level of proficiency in their Korean language studies can move into this intermediate level class. Studies also focuses on conversational skills in a variety of social and professional settings. Maximum 8 students.
NOTE: Students are sometimes placed outside their age range based on their skill level, maturity and other factors. Please inquire if you are unsure which class is appropriate.

Fees (per semester)
- Semester fee is $487.50, inclusive of tuition and materials fee.
- Returning students receive a $45 discount.
- Financial assistance may be available; contact us if interested.
- Cancellation policy: A student may withdraw from class with four weeks of written notice. A refund will be issued for the portion of unused classes after the four week notice point. If Looking Glass cancels a class prior to the start of the semester due to low enrollment, all students enrolled in the class will receive a full refund.
