Sprout is designed for our youngest students. It utilizes song, story, body movement and activities and introduces한글. Students must be potty-trained, enrolled in a regular drop-off school program, and be three years old by September of the enrollment year. Maximum 5 students.
This class builds on Sprout and begins to incorporate fine motor work with art projects, some worksheets and continuation of 한글 work. Maximum 5 students.
Ladybug is similar to Butterfly but for heritage students who are already conversational and speak Korean at home.
- Squirrel & Rabbit
These classes focus on conversation and 한글 reading and writing. A typical class consists of review, new phrase work, vocabulary, 한글 reading and writing drills, and stories, songs, and cultural topics. Teaching methods include call-and-answer drills, repetition, partner work, games, songs and creative projects. Maximum 6 students.
- Duck & Sheep
These classes build on Squirrel and Rabbit. Students deepen their ability to read and write 한글, and continue to develop listening comprehension and speaking skills. Maximum 6 students.
Seal is an entry level class for new 3rd to 5th grade students with no Korean language background. The objective is to teach basic phrases and the한글 alphabet so that students can graduate on to Duck, Sheep, Giraffe or Tiger class. Maximum 6 students.
- Giraffe & Tiger
This class focuses on conversation and 한글 reading and writing. It is more accelerated and in-depth than the Duck or Sheep class, with coverage of more vocabulary, more complex sentence structures and variations of phrases. Maximum 8 students.
This class for new and continuing teens will cover the 한글 alphabet, as well as written work and conversation practice. No prior knowledge of Korean is necessary. Maximum 8 students.
- Beginning Adult
This is a class for continuing beginner adult students and will cover the 한글 alphabet as well as practice some written work and conversation. Maximum 8 students.
- Intermediate Adult
After achieving a certain level of skill, vocabulary and 한글 retention, continuing beginner adults can move into this intermediate level class. This class also focuses on conversational skills in a variety of settings. Maximum 8 students.
NOTE: Students are sometimes placed outside their age range based on their skill level, maturity and other factors. Please inquire if you are unsure which class is appropriate.
